Homemade Goddess Dressing

Nov 21, 2011

One thing I have a really hard time doing is buying salad dressing from the supermarket. There’s always something in the ingredient list that makes me wrinkle my nose – canola oil, sugar, additives, yuck. And I’ve figured out that I can pretty easily make a batch of delicious dressing and use it for my salads throughout the week.  I keep most of these ingredients on hand and the dressing takes about 10 minutes to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup wheat-free soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp molasses
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil (I’m using sesame)

Preparation:
Add all the ingredients, except for the oil to a blender or food processor (the Vitamix works great) and puree until smooth. Slowly add the oil until well mixed. Add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency. It’s so good you’ll want to drink it by the spoonful!
